The Elephant and the Flea

Title of a book by Charles Handy, or something like it anyway. My personal experience of working with large organisations is pretty mixed. I have found that some relationships work better than others. My work on the MASSE project has been fraught with difficulties, all of which have made any semblance of continuity all but impossible. The big debate this weekend is whether to call it a day. I have travelled increasingly in hope more than expectation as time has gone on, and it seems foolhardy to deny the outcomes. The smart money says it's the end of this particular chapter. If that's the way it does indeed turn out, then I'm looking forward to the next part of the blue sky story. Other work in hand is different and very stimulating and enjoyable, and I shall be able to enjoy exploring other possibilities.
